With the Air Reviews app, you can easily translate and customize your reviews to connect with a global audience. Let’s walk you through the steps to set up translations in a user-friendly way.

Introduction

The Air Reviews app allows you to configure translations for your store, ensuring a seamless experience for customers by automatically displaying content in their language. This guide will help you set up translations, auto-detect languages based on customer IPs, and customize widget labels.

1. Access the Air Reviews App

Open the Air Reviews app from your Shopify dashboard. You’ll find it in the list of installed apps.

In the left-hand menu, select "Translations". This is where you can manage all language settings for your reviews.


2. Enable Auto-detect for Customer Language

  1. Enable auto-detect by ticking the option.

This will allow the app to translate all labels displayed on your store based on the customer’s IP address.

The supported languages include:

  • English

  • Spanish

  • Hindi

  • French

  • Dutch

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Vietnamese

  1. To add custom translations, click Add translation and manually add labels for widgets displayed on the storefront.

Only languages that are added and shown in the language list will be translated by the app.


3. Configure Default Language

If you don’t want to use auto-detect, you can set a default language for the app. Here’s how:

  1. Click Add translation, then select the language you want to set as default.

  1. Click Set as default next to the newly added language.

  1. After selecting your default language, make sure to click Save to save the settings.


4. Customize Widget Labels

You can directly edit the labels for widgets displayed on the store by following these steps:

  1. Click Edit next to the language.

  2. Enter the label for each field, then click Save.


5. Remove Unwanted Translations

If you need to remove a language that has been added, simply:

  1. Click Remove translation next to the language you want to delete.
